Wine Cocktail Ideas? (asides from Sangrias)

Hope the topic isn't giving you guys a coronary ("You're doing WHAT to the wine?!") but wondering what are some nice cocktails to make with wine (both reds & whites, but not sparkling - enough ideas for bubblies).

It's certainly something I can google up but wondering why's tried-and-true for CHs.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Dry or off-dry white port with soda and a slice of lemon is traditional and often more appealing than drinking the stuff straight.

Kir can be good if made with real Creme de Cassis and an innocuous and boring but not downright bad white wine.

Good dry Vermouth on the rocks makes a great cocktail - Dolin de Chambery is my favorite

put about an inch of apple juice in a champagne flute, fill with inexpensive sparkling and then top it off with a little pommegranite juice....

My folks loved wine margaritas. As I recall they used a dry white wine and it gave it a nice tangy quality.
