Fortunately, the culinary tastes of Chowhounds and the beautiful people often don't overlap. However, Pinkberry has been discovered by the #1 celebrity gossip blog, Perez Hilton.

How many Pinkberry's are they opening? WeHo is open, and I've seen signs in Westwood, Beverly Hills, and Studio City. I know there are others that have been mentioned here. That seems like a crazy degree of expansion for a business that was operating out of a small storefront.

According to the L.A. Times article they've signed 30 leases in the Los Angeles area, as well as a bunch in Manhattan where they've already opened a few stores.

I heard it's a franchise. I personally haven't tried it but I honestly don't think I'd ever wait in line for an hour for frozen yogurt. This yogurt craze is insane: kiwiberri, pinkberry, mr. snowberry, iceberry and red mango.......

the owner is expanding rapidly because she wants to get it out there before all the imitators roll up. risky, but reasonable. if nothing else, pinkberry definitely DESERVES to be a ubiquitous chain... consider all the other oversweetened crap that's out there!

Is there a Pinkberry now opening in Westwood Village, down near the Subway and maybe a floor above?

The Westwood location will be adjacent to Subway where City Bean used to be.

They won't be able to park either, so it won't be a problem.
