I am new to town and am trying to plan drinks for about 15 people before a dinner at Tribeca Grill. Can anyone suggest some place near the Grill for drinks beforehand?

The Brandy Library. Definitely. Other option: bar at Tribeca Grand - is it called Church?

Yes, it is the Church Lounge. I like the space for a larger group, especially later at night.

You can also try VinoVino at Franklin and W. Broadway if you are more in the mood for a wine bar. Otherwise Brandy Library is your best bet.

VinoVino is SO great. I went there on a recommendation from a friend. I had never heard of it before, but their wines were really amazing. Although the per-glass price was a tad steep, the pours and the wine quality were certainly equal to the price.
