Potential doomsday in Columbia, MO

I've got it on good authority that Shakespeares has hired a senior manager and/or consultant that used to work at Applebee's. Some employment practices have changed already, driving many long term employees away. With one new branch now open and I guess successful, I'm betting that more are on the way. The inverse relationship of quality and quantity is bound to play its hand.

Shakespeare's. So sad to see you go.

  1. Oh man, that sounds bad, really bad. It is a black day for pizza in Columbia. Thanks for the heads up.

    1. Somebody noted this disturbing rumor about Shakespeares several weeks ago. Does anybody know anything more about this?

I know nothing more about this rumor, but I have found the pizzas at the West location to be of uneven quality. One pie we ordered for delivery was sufficiently undercooked that I couldn't eat it (but undercooked pizza is a major culinary block for me). I think that their oven may not be quite hot enough, so the "usual" time is insufficient.

Two locations of Shakespeare's is all that this town can handle/support. Will they open a Jeff City branch?

My lunch appetite is hoping so.

        Keep eating,
