Fried pies?

Went to Looney's this weekend when I saw that they had fried pies on the menu. They were out, only cobbler left. Does anyone around here do real fried pies? The last place I saw was years ago at a Safeway with a bakery in Orinda/Lafayette?

Has there been any other sightings of fried pies? I am most interested in fruit filled ones sold on the Peninsula

Memphis Minnie's deep fried peach pie is heavenly! Light flaky crust fried to perfection, not too greasy. The peach filling is tender and not overly sweetened. The only problem is I rarely have room for it after stuffing myself silly with meaty goodness...
