Rol San - follow up

Sweet Pea Sep 25, 2006 05:20 PM

So the extended family ventured out to Rol San on Sunday aft. for some yummy dim sum. Ended up waiting in line for about 20 minutes (first at front, then in back.) Then the head waiter/host came and grabbed us from the line in back to put us at one of the big tables in the front room. I think we jumped the line, but I wasn't going to argue (I'm 7 mos pregnant and was starving by this point.) Food was great! Super fresh, quick and hot. Had the usual smattering of dishes: Har Gow, Siu Mai, green onion pancake, turnip cake, etc, etc. Some of the best har gow I've had in a long time. At least 3 full shrimp in a delicate, translucent pastry. Perfect. We're definitely going back. Thanks hounds!

Sweet! You mastered the line tricks on your first visit!

Always position a very pregnant female at the front of your party--worked like a charm for us years ago at downtown and east end places! Nice to see tradition honoured.
