Where to go to dinner tonight....anywhere south of 14th

lynny_lynny Sep 24, 2006 09:31 PM

Looking to take my honey for an impromptu dinner this evening. Even comfort food, but good food will do. We are tired of the same things. Money not really an issue. Any thoughts?

Bubby's in Tribeca has great home-style burgers, meatloaf, and pure deliciousness.

Bubby's to me is over rated. Thanks but for some reason the spices in their burgers turn me off bigtime. Now their pie is really good lol thanks tho

Westville, off of Bleeker in the West Village. They have a good pork chop plate, and their veggie sides are fresh, seasonal, and healthy.

Otto on Fifth Ave, on the north side of Washington Square Park. Have some gelato on brioche after your pizza for extra carbo-calories.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I appreciate it.
I ended up taking him to Devin Tavern, from the nice guys that brought us Dylan Prime.I got the Arctic char and man was it yummy!!! The spece is amazing, and it didn't play out like a new restaurant having to work out the kinks. I suggest you give it a try for a nice casual good meal.
