Zarri's Delicatessen
I popped into Zarri's yesterday to buy some anchovies and olives for my putanesca and noticed that they've added quite a few products recently. For instance, they now carry capers packed in salt, canned dolmas, and jars of peppers and such. There are more varieties of olives, too. (Though calling it an olive bar is a stretch.) And by the door, I saw a big box of imported chocolate bars. If you haven't been in lately, you might want to take a look. The people there are so nice.

Really, thanks for the info. I like Zarri's. I was in there a bit after the change and didn't notice any changes other than the prices of sandwiches increasing a little. I'll definately stop by and check it out.

Thanks for the update. As I recall, Zarri's changed hands a while back, with the new owner vowing to "keep things as they were." Zarri's really needed a makeover, though, and I kept waiting for some sign of retail drama every time I drove past. Still looks pretty much the same from the outside.
I'll stop in and see what's new. I totally agree that the people inside are very friendly. There is a market space for a Zarri's that is not as elite as Ferrari but still genuinely "Italian."
