Myth or Boulevard for a private party?

I'm trying to decide on a place to have a reception for about 15-20 people, and have boiled it down to Myth and Boulevard. I don't live in CA, so I haven't had a chance to dine at either restaurant! Which would you recommend in terms of food, service, and (if you have any knowledge on this topic) their private party area? I have noticed that Myth hasn't been the easiest place to work with so far.

Boulevard has a private room that is gorgeous, but it would top out at about 15 people -- 20 would be way too cramped. If you can keep your party down to 15, it would be perfect.

Boulevard has two private rooms. The downstairs room seats 20-65.

I've always had fantastic meals at Boulevard and their private room looks gorgeous. I can't comment on Myth.

Myth's private room is gorgeous as well. It's separated, yet appears to have a very open feeling. 20 people should be able to fit comfortably.

Food and service-wise, you can't go wrong with either one.

The downstairs room at Boulevard is very nice, i.e not just another "group room." The food at Boulevard is superb. I can't comment on service for a group, but individual service has always been friendly and attentive without being oppressive or annoying.

I can't comment on Myth, as I haven't been there yet.

We did a company Xmas party in the downstairs room at Boulevard and it was outstanding, both service and food. Don't remember exactly, but I think we had around 20 people and nobody felt crowded as far as I know.

Myth is great but have never used the private room there.

Thanks for setting me straight! I had only attended events at the private room upstairs and had no idea about the downstairs...
