went to DiFara's for the very 1st time this wk and it was AMAZING!
crisp, slightly charred, thin-crust, tangy tomatoey sauce - it's mere perfection in my book!, topped w/a flavorful blend of a mix of cheeses, pieces of freshly cut basil, and a bit greasy the way i like it.
downside is..... the trek alllll the way out to Midwood, can get clausterphobic, need to overlook the lack of cleanliness, and even in off-hrs there was a quite a lengthy wait, but it's soooooo worth it!
the old man from behind the counter, Dom, the owner, works on all his pizzas right behind the counter for all to see. i stood in awe as he paced himself one incredible pizza after another like clockwork. he truly is a master at his craft and each pizza really is like art - genius!
i fear the day he retires. if only he could be cloned, so there could be more locations.
