Very Sad About Finding Out Where My Favorite Cookie REALLY Comes From...

so, i live in a very small town and months ago found this cookie at an ice cream shop. it was a peanutbutter cookie, with peanut butter chips AND reeces PB cups in them. to die for. $2 a cookie, i didnt care. i would go out of my way to this store to buy the cookie and rave everytime when i went in there how its the best cookie ever.

this went on for months.

then i was in my favorite bagel shop and i noticed THE COOKIE was there too and now i feel foolish, but i said to the person behind the counter "oh i love these cookies, do you get them from so & so?" and the man looked at me and "so & so and us get them from the same place"

then i goto work ( at a small deli/market ) and tell my sister ( the owner ) the story and she says, "i wonder if SYSCO sells them, lets look in the book"

well, they DO and we ordered them, and i "bake them off" everyday now at the store and i dont even care about them now...

:(

am i silly for this? i just loved going to my special store for my special treat.

not silly at all.. I fully understand it's like finding out santa doesn't exist. I do have a question though, did it smell like anything was baking at so&so?

i cant remember if i ever smelled baking going on at so & so. you can definetely smell them "baking off" at my sisters store and the customers go nuts!

interesting though-
so & so sold them for $2
bagel place $1.80
and my sisters place, with a bigger mark-up then she normally does because she knows others sell for more: $1.50

No, not silly... that is sad! As a fellow dessert lover, I would have been sad too! That doesn't mean you can't still indulge though, or do they just not taste good to you anymore?
