Your best vegetarian meal, not pizza, in Rome

Leoloveslemons Sep 22, 2006 12:29 AM

I'm traveling to Rome with my sister. She's completely vegetarian. I'd like to surprise her with a fantastic vegetarian meal. I know it shouldn't be an issue, but I'd like your input nevertheless.

Margutta Vegetariana, in via Margutta between the Spanish Steps and Pz. del Popolo, has marvelous veg cuisine. Also have very reasonable all-you-can-eat buffets on the weekends.

Margutta was amazing. Down a cute little street that I was told Fellini lived on. We partook in the buffet and it was great. It was a while ago, so I can't remember what we ate, but we were indeed stuffed and happy.

Arancia Blu in the San Lorenzo area near the university is (or was) quite good, even to the taste of this innard-o-phile.
