what do they do with the cooked food from cooking shows?

hi, not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I've always been curious...does anyone know what happens to all the food that is used on cooking shows? the half-finished stuff they show the preparation for (esp. on baking shows) and all the finished dishes.

do the crew eat them? i'm thinking it ends up being a lot of food, especially if you film a lot of episodes!

  1. the crew eats the finished products for sure.

I hope the unfinished are further cooked and also I'm sure there are people around to eat it it.

I know on more than one show they make comments about the crew salvating for the show to end so they can pounce!

    1. The crew eats it . . . or in Ina's case, she'll pack it up and send it to Yale with Jeffrey!

      1. Rachael Ray said in her show yesterday that the prepared food from her show that isn't served to her audience goes to a food kitchen for distribution to the needy.
