Change to Newly Replied to and New Threads

Would it be possible to revert the style of the board such that new threads and threads that have new content in them to appear entirely "yellow" in the browsing page? It's very difficult currently to discern which threads are new by looking at whether or not a small box on the side changed colour because of both the size of the area that changes colour and the similarities between the changed and unchanged colour.

Might be good to restore the date started, though, so it's clearer when somebody's bumped a years-old thread that may contain outdated info. The "about two years ago" display format would be useful in this context.

Great fast service on adding the topic opener's name back to the topic list, but I agree that this presentation is awkward. Having to glance to the right and back to the left feels very unnatural.

The "new" flag really needs to be on the left, or the whole row color-coded.

Glad this has been made into a whole topic. My complaint is not only in the color, but by putting that box on the right, it pushes the topic title into two lines if the topic title is long. It makes it much more difficult to scan the topics, for instance, in the Midwest, to see if there are new topics on Kansas City.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again...I wish the Chowhound "artists" and screen-design team would change their color palette. These colors are beat, and not easy on the eyes.

I agree. We would like the thread title to be yellow, or the whole row to be yellow, not just the small area to the right. I love all of the new changes (real dates yeah!), except for this one having the yellow only on the right side.

I tried it out for a couple hours last night, and for another hour this morning, but I can't get used to it and my eyes are really tiring darting left & right all the time. It's very hard to scan for threads that are new or have new posts because the yellow is way over on the right side. Also, last night I read a thread but was too tired to post a reply so this morning I was looking for that thread while browsing new threads, and it was difficult to find since all the thread titles are white (it used to be only old titles were white).

But thanks for all the other changes, you're really appreciated for listening and following through on suggestions!!
