Bridgeport BYO

AmblerGirl Sep 21, 2006 12:55 PM

My husband and I are heading out to Bridgeport on Saturday night to hear some live music and would like to have dinner in the area beforehand. Do you know of any good BYOs - nice but not too expensive. We'd prefer italian but really enjoy all types of food.

By the way, has anyone been to Anthony's Tavern in Bridgeport? I'd never heard of it and am wondering what the overall vibe is. Is it upscale? Local? Decent beer and wine?

Don't know anything about Anthony's but Conshohocken isn't too far from Bridgeport and the Lafayette Street Grill is a good byob. It's fixed price for three courses but I don't remember it being overly expensive.

That's Fayette Street Grille, 308 Fayette St., Conshohoken, 610-567-0366. Prix fixe is $31. http://www.fayettestreetgrille.com

Try Dolce Vita. It's an Italian BYO on Dekalb Street. It's been a little while since I was there but it was always good.
