Anyone know a good place to take my knifes to be sharpened? Preferably in the 847 area code.
Thanks in advance

The Naperville farmer's market used to have a man there who also did a great job; however it's been a few years, I'm not sure if he is still there.

At the Skokie Farmer's Market there is a knife sharpener who does an excellent job for, as I recall, 3$ a knife - not sure how much longer the market will run but assume through october -

If you live near a Sur La Table store (upscale kitchen store) they sharpen knives there, but the best and most affordable place, hands down, is in the city. Northwestern Cutlery-810 W Lake St, Chicago, IL. (312) 421-3666
They have a parking lot, which is a rare treat in Chicago, and it is only around $2.50 per knife. They do a great job and have been there forever, plus, while you wait, you can look through the million different kitchen toys they have there. Definately one of the best places to go.
