Dinner in or around Laval?

Have to spend 1 night dining in the Laval area before getting my fix of downtown Montreal wonderfulness -- is there anything worthwhile around there?? Type of restaurant not a concern so much as really delicious food. Thanks in advance for any help!

I suggest Derrière les Fagots, a restaurant located in an old house on Boul. Ste-Rose, in Laval. I havent been since young chef Danny St-Pierre left, but only hear good comments from people who went recently.
