Edible Gold Leaf

I am hosting a small party to celebrate Wagner's Ring Cycle and would like to use gold leaf as a dessert decoration. Where can one buy it in Toronto?

  1. Currys art supply on Yonge above College usually has gold leaf... just make sure it is real pure gold so that it is edible..

    1. Woolfitt's art supplies across from the Drake.

      1. I'm not so sure what art stores sell is edible - try any cake decorating supply for the edible stuff. There are a couple - World of Cake decorating on Weston road, and I think there are a few others as well.

And I'm sure Bonnie Stern's shop on Erskine (Yonge & Eg) will carry it as well.

        1. Try McCall's cake decorating goods place in Etobicoke. An obvious place to ask around also is Little India, I'd think.

          1. Golda's Kitchen in Mississauga has it. A small container (spice bottle size) is $19 or so.
