I love soup dumplings and would like my girlfriend to experience them. She does not eat fowl or beast, only fish. Any ideas?

I'm not sure how that would be possible as the soup in the soup dumplings is usually made from pork. Sometimes it's chicken stock, but the tastiest soup dumplings contain pork broth.

I've found great seafood dumplings near LA. Not sure about NYC. I would start investigating Shanghainese restaurants, maybe the more authentic places in Flushing.

I've never seen soup dumplings (in the technical sense) made of fish, though a number of places in Los Angeles area serve what might most descriptively be called juicy fish dumplings. Haven't found any of these fish dumplings in NY Chinatown yet, though I've only worked my way through about half the restaurants in Chinatown.

While not soup dumplings, Mandoo Bar on 32nd street has a pretty decent seafood dumpling. I believe there is also a location around Union Square as well.

I've never heard of an all-seafood xiaolongbao.
