Little Armenia recommendations?

mcsmcs Sep 19, 2006 07:25 AM

I drive through Little Armenia / East Hollywood every day to and from work but don't know where to eat beyond the famous places (Zankou, Carousel, Sahag's, Marouch.) I'm sure there are others- can anyone suggest places worth checking out? Thanks

I recently had a terrific meal at Raffi's Place in Glendale. I know its not East Hollywood, but it is one of the best Armenian places around.

This isn't a restaurant but a small deli/grocery store with some great finds. Kalinka is in a strip mall on Hillhurst at Franklin, and carries an interesting mix of fresh feta, olives, and meats. You can also find pomegranate syrup, orange blossom water, fruit juices, etc.

I recommend Panos Pastry on Hollywood Blvd.
