Chocolate Lasagna?

I came across a recipe for chocolate pasta the other day, which got me thinking about this. Has anyone ever had a good chocolate lasagne? One where everything just "worked" and wasn't too gimmicky?

If so, where was it, and do you have any good recipes?

I made on a loong time ago that had a sweetened ricotta filling. There may have been some toasted nuts and fruit in the filling. I was not really impressed with it though.

What about using some marscapone instead of making a custard or whatnot?

I made one, a lot of work, fun presentation but not worth the effort IMO. Not really a recipe but here's a description of what I did

Yeah, that's kinda what I had in mind, but with some type of stewed oranges and a creme anglaise, finished in the same manner a crème brûlée to imitate the crispy-grilled, cheese top.

You know, I probably wouldn't use 2 mousses for the filling - not enough variety in the texture. Lasagna usually has some kind of chunky filling, too.

I'd go for a mascarpone filling (or a thick custard), maybe some chopped roasted fruit or a chunky berry compote. You could also sprinkle toasted nuts in between layers.

And the brûlée topping is a fab idea.
