Bagels near JFK or en route to Philly?

We will be arriving at JFK airport Monday morning at about 6:30, and driving from there to Philadelphia. A friend there has asked us to pick up a few everything bagels, and I'm wondering what our options are. There's a 7th Avenue Deli in the terminal, which would probably be the easiest place to go. I'm not all that familiar with driving in the area, so I don't want to go too far out of the way if I can avoid it (though if it makes a huge difference in quality, we'll consider a bit of a trek).

Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much, especially for the specific driving directions. Will be traveling with someone who has lived on Long Island and Philly, and has traveled between the two, so she'll be able to take care of the rest of the navigation. This sounds like a very reasonable (and worthwhile) drive. Exactly what we're looking for!

If you can afford to make a quick stop, go to Hot Bialys on Queens Boulevard on the Forest Hills/Kew Gardens border. The decor is not much to look at but they serve the best bagels in Queens (as stated by NYTIMES a couple of years back). If you get there in the morning, the bagels will be fresh and they make a great Everything bagel.

You can get there quickly by taking the Van Wyck Expressway from JFK and take the Queens Boulevard exit West. Travel several blocks down (past courthouse on right) until you get to 78th Ave (stay on the right local lane of Queens Boulevard). The bagel place is also on the right and is two stores from the corner (with a bus stop in front). You can quickly get back on the Grand Central Parkway and the Van Wyck to head through the other boroughs to get to Philadelphia.
