Great burger in Guerneville [moved from CA board]

We had planned on a stop in Guerneville for lunch, but hadn't decided where to go. My husband is a beer lover, so I asked our GPS for any breweries en route, and we were directed to the Stumptown Brewery. It's a dive, but the beer was good and I can honestly say they served the best hamburgers we've had in any restaurant anywhere. The patties were hand-formed just before cooking, they were huge, thick and juicy, cooked medium-rare as requested, and absolutely fresh. I don't remember the price, but it was less than $10. Bay Area people, it's worth the drive!

Another great burger joint is the Garden Grill located on River Rd/Hwy 116 just west of Guerneville. The setting is lovely, tables centered in the redwoods. The food is really good - sandwiches and burgers, house roasted turkey.

The burger is big and juicy and hand formed. It was one of our favorite spots to eat when we lived there.

I'm not too big a fan of garlic fries, but tried someone else's last time I ate at the Garden Grill, and they were absolutely the best I'd ever tasted. The ones at Pac Bell Park are inedible in my opinion, but these really were delicious!
