I'd have to recommend against the Melting Pot--wildly overpriced, kind of theme-park in its approach, and the food is mediocre. (Worst offense: the bread served with the cheese fondues is barely one step above Wonder Bread.) The place is good for a teen birthday party, maybe, but not much else.

There is a Melting Pot restaurant in Darien. It's a chain, but not bad.

Its not Fairfield county but New Haven has the Blue Pearl. www.thebluepearlnewhaven.com with sweet, savory or surf and turf fondues on the menu. I haven't been but have been meaning to try.
