Hawaii Restaurant on Dovercourt
Hey, has anyone ever been to the "Hawaii Restaurant" on Dovercourt just north of Bloor? It looks like it hasnt changed it's decor since the 60's or 70's, but looks interesting.

I'm really in need of a Hawaiian restaurant in Toronto for research purposes, I’m an interior design student who’s planning a Hawaiian restaurant n part of my research process is to go to one, now this is the first I’ve seen of a restaurant, could you possible tell me the name and exact location.

I don't know if you'll find it here. It's more Chinese if I recall correctly. Mind you I usually found myself in there with some mates after a pint or seven so my memory is what you might call hazy. Give it a whirl, buy the ticket, take the ride and let us know what it's like.

We were interested in investigating it more closely as well, so we stopped by for a drink. Not much to talk about really except that it did have original 60s decor and a pretty cool Coke dispenser at the bar. They don't serve food and the place smelled terribly of cabbages. There is nothing Hawaii about this place - the theme ends with the name on the front of the restaurant.

I grew up on Concord Ave. a few blocks east of Dovercourt and the "Hawaii" restaurant has been there since I was born, no joke, nearly 40 years! LOL It used to be my grandfather's local watering hole. I however can't comment as I've never been inside.
