I’ll confirm that the Indian curry leaves are still there, in the produce cooler with the other fresh herbs (after the vegetables). They are pre-packed in plastic bags and labeled “bay leaves,” but the fragrance gives them away. They are unlike European bay leaves or Indian /t̪ezpət̪t̪a/.

Also available at the Indian store on Valencia (call first, they don't always have them) and Duc Loi on 18th & Mission. Anyone know where to get roselle (or Chin Myaung Kyaw, aka Burmese sour vegetable)?

The lady at Little Yangon in Daly City said she buys Burmese sour vegetable at Alemany farmers market during the summer. But the season is past now.

Little Yangon is serving the dish now, using roselle it froze this summer. It's only $5 and worth a try.
