Any decent, reasonable restaurants in Kip's Bay? All types of food welcome.

Ethos, on 3rd Av., b/t 33rd & 34th Sts., serves very good Greek food in a pleasant taverna-style setting.

I'm not sure what the boundaries of Kip's bay are, but I'll second the Ethos rec and add Ali Baba and Waterfront Ale House.

        I like Benjamin's, Sarge's and Notaro.

I haven't been yet, but my friend suggested Ali Baba's (Turkish) 212 34 St. was worth a visit.

Ali Baba's is very good, I would second...or triple...that recommendation. Waterfront Ale House is better then average bar food and they have a very good beer selection. If you are up for a 5-10 block walk south Turkish Kitchen (27th and 3rd), Bamiyan (Afghani), and Bao Noodles (22nd and 2nd) are all very good.

Penelope's on 30th and Lex is a cozy comfort food type place. I really like their chicken meatball sandwich and their mac and cheese is great.

Yes. Waterfront Ale has some tasty burgers and with a beer, you will need to be carried out. Enough food to hold you over and I can eat!
