Anyone where I could find an old fashioned soda fountain on the Westside? Someplace with a little atmosphere, milkshakes, flavored cokes, etc. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Does the Coffee Shop at the Beverly Hills Hotel count as "westside"?

If it does, then they save they have it:

How about a World War II era diner (1948 actually) with a counter. Has the atmosphere, but you'd need to call on the availabilty of milkshakes, flavored cokes, and any phosphates. Maybe breakfast/lunch only.

Only places that come to mind are:
        Cafe 50's
        11623 Santa Monica Blvd
        Los Angeles, CA 90025-2907
        310 479 1955

        and Johnny Rockets

You didn't mention anything about food so maybe the above two are safe bets for what you want.

Now for a real authentic old time soda fountain you'd have to go to Fair Oaks Pharmacy in S. Pasadena and for a pretty top notch selection of shakes and flavored sodas it would be Connal's in Pasadena.

There's a new place on Pico on the North side of the street close to the Westside Pavilion called The Colony Cafe. Havent been there but they bill themselves as an ice cream / fountain shop.
