Chocolate ding-a-ling recipe

I'm a little confused and maybe I'm misreading the recipe, but why does this recipe call for preparing two 12-well muffin pans when the recipe yield is only 12 cakes?

Thanks for picking up on that! It was just a slip on our part and the recipe does yield 24 cakes. Go ahead and use two standard muffin pans (with 12 wells) and enjoy!

I caught that, too. Perhaps you bake only 6 per pan for more even baking?
