DH has to eat in the Senate cafeteria this Friday. Any suggestions?

I suppose one can't really buck tradition - the bean soup.

It's the cafeteria, not the restaurant, right? Either way, there is plenty of selection in both, at least there was when I worked there many moons ago.

I just ate there this Tuesday. Basement of the Russell bld I think? $12 for AYCE. Table cloth and proper napkins meets cafetaria. They have bunch of stuff but it wasn't huge like old country buffet. The quality of the food is about the same though. Nothing to write home about.

I had collards, mashed potato fried chicken, and rice. I then laddled gravey all over everything. Anything with gravy is just fantastic. They didn't have corn bread.

They had something that look like chinese stir fry. I didn't want to touch it. They had the navy bean soup. Salad was fresh and well prepare (no wet lettuce).

There also is another real cafeteria in the basement of the bldg which has a decent grill menu and a nice salad bar. It offers 2-3 soups, sandwiches at a make your own station as well as at stations where a worker will make it for you, so-so pizza, an ok pasta and taco bar, and several hot meals which vary by the day.
