Arepas in KC

Any of you Chowhounds know of a place in KC to get good arepas? I suddenly seem to have a craving for them.

    Thanks for the suggestions! I really try to make it to the Ethnic Festival every year, but have had conflicts the last two years. I'll definitely have to drive down to KCK for the arepas.

      Have no fear . . .arepas can be found in KC. Trust me, I am married to a Brazilian. I haven't been here in a while but they had arepas at Cafe Venezuela at 719 Central Ave. Kansas City, KS 913.233.2660. You could also try Rincon Colombiano located at 611 N. 6th St. Kansas City, KS 913.281.3900 if it is still there( it was as of last October 2005.) You just missed a wonderful opportunity to have arepas made from scratch at the Kansas City Ethnic Festival held in Swope Park every year. The Colombian booth always does a nice job with their arepas. Enjoy!
