Le Pain et le Vin in Brussels- opinions, please?

  • 2

Hi-

I am trying to find a good restaurant in Brussels for the one meal I will havethere in a couple of weeks. I would like to stay away from the touristy places that serve beer in a medieval cellar. I am inclining towards le Pain et le Vin, which sounds good and also moderately priced, which is very important. However, I wonder if that won't be anything better/different that what I can find in NY for that same money. Any suggestions of other places are very welcomed!

  1. It's a good one, and I was pleased to see that they got their star back in the last Michelin edition. I've been there twice during the last couple of years (moved away from Brussels a year ago). Pretty minmalist and modern decor, the food is also quite modern and ambitious. Young and nice staff, the wine butler at our first visit was very good.

    1. There are so many great restaurants in Brussels. One I absolutely love at the moment is Chez Oki - French/ Japanese fusion. I wrote about on www.onfoodandwine.com under 'Restaurants'. A must.
