Thai Little Home Cafe on Kedzie and Western-Is thi still open???
Perhaps I am confused about the location or the exact name but I was just near the Kedzie Brown Line yesterday looking around at teh area and trying to find restaurants recomended by this group and I thoght I saw this restaurant (there was an awning and I'm pretty sure it was the correct name-right across from a bakery, and not far from Noon a Kebab) it looked totally gone.
Anyone know? Am I just a lost and confused newby?

Thai Little Home Cafe, formerly at 4747 North Kedzie, served its last meal on July 4, 2006, according to a sign in the window. Another sign said they had been open 34 years although that includes when they were on Western and their time on Lawrence not too far from the last location. I wondered how they managed to survive so long serving not too great Ameri-Thai in their later years.
Kedzie from 4600 to 4900 north has some great dining options but Thai there doesn't hold a candle to the 4600 block of Western. Note that Western runs parallel to Kedzie one mile east of Kedzie.

I agree - go to Spoon Thai on Western, or Opart (4700 block of Western). Even Rosded (a half-block east of Western on Leland) though just a neighborhood place, is better than Thai Little Home was in it's last years. Spoon Thai and Rosded both have special Thai menus of more interesting and authentic dishes - you can find translations of you do a search on LTH Forum - I believe I recall that Spoon now has the translated Thai menu available for us gaijin.
