San Diego Chowhound Dinners

LOCKED DISCUSSION
afinkle Sep 10, 2006 12:41 AM

Is anyone interested in getting together with a group of fellow CH folks for dinners at fun, casual and unique places? I'm looking for people interested in trying those small hole-in-the-wall type places around town.

If there is any response, I can take the initiative and set it up - also if you want to suggest a starting place, that would be nice too.

Please post an email address so anyone interested can contact you, and the planning can take place offline. This helps us keep the boards focused on chowtalk. Thanks!

As you can see by the message from the CH moderator team, planning a chowfunction on-board is not exactly encouraged. To that end an e-list was established on Yahoogroups to serve that purpose. If you wish to join that group simply send a blank e-mail to chow-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

You can put your request out on that list and see if you get any takers; many of the SD chowhounds are on it. It's been about a year since the last function. To be honest, this is not the easiest group to get together.

My suggestion would be that we meet at the Linkery sometime in the next 2 weeks. Anyone interested in persuing that idea will how to do so on the Yahoogroups e-list.

Diva, I wasn't able to find a "chow" under Yahoo groups, but I did find "SDChow".

Sending the email didn't work, but I was able to join via Yahoo's web site.

This is the right group, yes?

I shouldn't post late at night. Yes, it is SDChow. A blank e-mail can be sent to SDChow-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

          Thanks for the correction.
