Brasserie 8 1/2 for Dinner

Hi,

Has anyone been to Brasserie 8 1/2 for dinner recently? What would you recommend? Is there any place special to sit also (I'll be dining alone)? I'll be going on Sunday, and will be using a $50 Restaurant Associates certificate. Thanks!

Thanks dkstar, but unfortunately, I don't like Brasserie after having gone twice already. Would you know if they've changed chefs?

I haven't been in awhile, but if I may, I'd recommend going to Brasserie instead. I think the room is nicer, the food is about the same in quality but your $50 will go a little farther at Brasserie.

I also think, as a solo diner, you might be more comfortable sitting at a two-top toward the back/bar (loungier area) at Brasserie.
