I said I would post a report on Memphis in Hollywood. So here it is. It's been several weeks since I've eaten there now, so my memory's already a bit fuzzy. Sorry, but I've been out of town.
Anyway, we sat on the outside patio. It's a nice area, especially on a summer evening. There are heaters. They have old movies projected onto walls of two adjacent buildings. By 9:00, the patio was full. The service was fine. Nothing bad, nothing good. The food overall wasn't that great, especially for the prices. My husband had the seafood pasta. The pasta was overcooked, and the noodles were broken. I had the BBQ shrimp dish, which was fine. Nothing great but nothing bad either. We got a mac and cheese for the table. Their version is a bit spicy. It was good. The best part of the meal was the desserts. The banana bread pudding was good, and the cheesecake (I can't remember the flavor) was really good.
All in all, it's a sceney place. If you think that you're paying for the scene, as well as the food, it's okay. If you're not into the scene, there's no reason to go.
