Buffet Browsing in Enfield

After picking up a hungry passenger at Bradley Airport, we gave up
on the glut of chain stores on Rt. 75 and went across the river to
Enfield, only to find more of the same. We eventually threw in the
napkin and ended up at the Royal Buffet in a shopping center at
55 Palomba Drive, expecting the worst.

Surprisingly, it turned out to be a clean, well-lit establishment
with six 12-foot serving counters full of not only the usual Chinese
foods, but quite a lot of fresh fruit, vegatables and some
interesting little appetizers and desserts, all for a $7 lunch.
There is also a sushi bar in the back, but it appears that the
person manning it was not a seasoned sushi slicer.

Two of us were quite happy with the selections we made. Our
passenger, though, stated the sushi selection so-so, but was
satisfied with the other choices.

We gave it a B, but with one caveat. Under no conditions choose
their cherry cheesecake! Cheers.

  1. Good to know! My kids love buffets and we'll keep that one in mind. Anyone else know good CT buffets?

    1. Also had a decent experience at Royal Buffet. It was a nice surprize. Filled up on the first plateful, though. I'm not a real seasoned buffet dude.
