it's my turn to bring food for poker night tonight. i'll be heading from work in koreatown to a friend's place in cheviot hills. i'm looking for funky/cheap/sleazy/ethnic stuff that needs no utensils and is open at 9pm. i've previously brought pollo from dino's, pizza from the coop, el taurino, etc. i'm currently thinking of those burrito bombs from oki dog. any other suggestions?

If you want sleazy get a porno burrito:

It's out of the way, but can you beat that?

Tacos from La Parian, #1 from "the Great Taco Hunt" by Bandini on blogspot.

Pastrami and philly cheesesteak sandwiches from Harvey's on Palms and Motor. Or cheeseteaks from Markie D's on Washington and Sepulveda -- I think they have a coupon on their website.

Chinese from Hu's -- do they deliver? Isn't there a newish Thai place on Venice called Boom Thai or Poom Thai that some have liked -- do they deliver?

More chicken from Dino's -- how did that go over if not served right away?

i'll have to try harvey's next time. that's really close to where i was headed.

instead of oki dog, i made it to papa cristo's before they closed. the food was way better than my poker skills, unfortunately.

as for dino's, it's actually decent if it sits around a bit. the fries soak in the juices longer, and that's not a bad thing, IMHO.
