The Parkway in Oakland is the opposite, a movie theater where you can get pizza and beer.

The food at the Parkway actually looked pretty good last time I was there. Not gourmet, but a pretty decent selection of items -- a lot more than pizza and beer!

That said, the perfect combo is to have dinner at Champa Garden and see the movie at the Parkway.

I love the Parkway. Watch out for the cheese pizza, though - it's OCed (over cheesed). A pitcher of beer will make the food go down easier, though.

Make sure to line up early to get a table and couch!

I've never done it, and not sure you still can, but at Metreon in SF you use to be able to order from the restaurants downstairs (drinks too) and eat while watching.

Other then that, you could "roll your own". I was once at the Kabuki 8 in SF and a couple walked in right before the show with Leon's barbeque...EVERYONE turned around as the aroma wiffed by during their walk through.
