romantic restaurants around Jackson, Glen, North Conway?

hiddenboston Sep 8, 2006 04:44 PM

Any restaurants within a half hour of the Jackson/North Conway area that are good places to go for a quiet, romantic dinner? Traditional American or Italian would be preferred. Thanks!

The Christmas Farm Inn in Jackson might fit the bill. I haven't been recently, but had a romantic dinner there a few years ago.

Also, I've never been, but have heard some nice things about The Inn at Thorne Hill in Jackson Village.

The Inn at Thorn Hill in Jackson and The Notchland Inn in Crawford Notch are two wonderful choices.

Wildcat Inn and Tavern has my recommendation. The Tavern has your standard pub grub, but the Inn's food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is wonderful.

What do they have on the restaurant menu at the Wildcat Inn? I could only find a sample menu online.

Their menu changes according to ingredients and the season as well as specials that they dream up. Call them up and ask them what they have when you make reservations.

Had a wonderful evening at the Inn at Thorn Hill—fabulous food, a great wine list. Started with drinks on the porch...

I have had many breakfasts at the Snowvillage Inn and it's so quaint and cozy. http://www.snowvillageinn.com/dining.htm

Check out Libby's Bistro in Gorham. Gorham is about 20 minutes from Jackson.

I vote for the Wildcat; good food, nice ambiance, and friendly/accomodating staff.

Thanks for the input, everyone. We ended up going to the Stonehurst Manor, which was excellent. Nice atmosphere, great food, and the prices were pretty good, too.
