Meal delivery service for new parents?

Boston hound here. Friends living in SF are new parents. Thinking the gift of home food/restaruant delivery would be a good one. Is there a delivery service that covers lots of places, or anything like that?

  1. Waiters on Wheels offers delivery from several restaurants in SF: https://www.waitersonwheels.com/index...

    1. Thanks, that's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.

      1. I just found out about breadstone.com - they deliver organic, vegetarian fare, chicken option available. Four ice-chested meals per week, heating instructions, even flowers!

        1. We used Jessie et Laurent a few times. I liked the food pretty well, but found it too expensive to use on an ongoing basis. It's nice to know it's out there if I need it, though.

          1. As a mother with a young child, I can confirm what a great gifft a meal is.

            I like Jane Peal: http://www.pealcuisine.com

            1. Good but not cheap:

Delivers once a week in SF.

Very reasonable, but not so swanky as the above:

              Daily deliveries to SF.

              1. Hi - Bumping this thread up because I find myself in the same boat as Kbee (Boston hound with friends and now new parents in SF). Does anyone have any experience with either Wally's Food Co. or dininginsf.com? They both look good to me, but importantly, I'd like to get the most bang for my buck. Thanks to anyone who can advise!
