WDC area prix fixe, early bird specials, & the like - what's available? what's your favorite?
like most cities, WDC has a bunch of prix fixe specials offered throughout the week; like most days, i had a resource that listed all the great deals scattered here & there & lost it...
i'm thinking that maybe this will be a good place for me (& others) to reference back to if looking for a new place to try or a prix fixe deal around the city.
if you know of any, let us know!
to start, bistro francais in georgetown has a prix fix until 7 pm everyday throughout the week, and between 10-1 am, for $19.95. http://www.bistrofrancaisdc.com/dinne...

Marcel's (French/Flemish, 2401 Penn Av, NW) is the first that comes to mind. They have a pre-theater special - $48 pp, three courses, 5:30-7:00 pm, includes a car service/limo to the Kennedy Center. If you like, you can come back to the restaurant for your dessert after the show. I don't know if you *have* to be going to the theatre to get the pre-theater menu. They also have three tasting menus: 3 courses for $58, 4 courses for $78, and 6 courses for $98.
Colvin Run Tavern in NoVA has a 4 course dinner (+$6 optional cheese course) for $59 which was fabulous.

I'm an out of towner, but Bistro Francais in Georgetown is a must stop for my family. Can't beat that early bird prix fixe.. a glass of wine, the liver pate & a napoleon to finish off the meal.
You might want to try next door too, Manhattan, that has a late nite menu. Had a great seafood paella!
