Fresh corn tortillas in Sunset Park?

bloodorange Sep 8, 2006 01:34 PM

Looking for a good place to buy fresh tortillas to eat with Sunday dinner. I'm sure there must be some in this neighborhood!

Anyone have any favorite places?

Actually, there are a number of tortillerias in Brooklyn and Queens who send out every day to the mexican groceries around town. The only one I know that you can buy directly from is out on Myrtle Ave, but I buy tortillas at my local mexican grocery in Kensington and they are always still warm when I buy them(I think they are from a tortilleria in Richmond Hill). But maybe I don't know the difference between good and bad corn tortillas - I guess I'm of the opinion that if they are fresh, they are good.

oh, i'd agree that fresh is better than non-fresh, and the fresh tortillas you can get here are perfectly serviceable. but if you compare the best you can get here with the best you can get in, say, chicago, there's absolutely no contest.
