Try Sam's Deli/The Kabob Room on Myrtle. I personally like it better than the Mediterranean Garden Grill. Empanadas Gourmet ("genuinue Argentinian-Italian food") is also good. If you are willing to go to a hole-in-the-wall joint, try La Paloma. It has some good tacos.

Sam's is good and also very inexpensive. My only beef with them is (at least before - we haven't been in a while) is that they don't have or don't turn on their air conditioning and it gets hot and stuffy in there.

We've eaten lunch at the Mediterranean Garden Grill in Monrovia. I'm not an expert on Mediterranean food, but it was quite tasty and reasonably priced. The eating area is a covered patio.
