Birthday Dinner Recommendations - Danube closed Sundays :(

I was planning on going to Danube for my birthday dinner this Sunday but they are closed. Does anyone have any recomendations for something along the same line as Danube, in both food, and decor? Comparable pricing (for two) would be great also!

Thank you so much! :)

  1. Wallse. Haven't been, but I was debating between that and Danube (Danube won) for my b-day this year. Bouley is another option--I believe it's open Sundays.

    1. What about Bouley? Is it worth the cash?

It's about the same price point as Danube, so you be the judge. I've only been for lunch--once was fantastic and second time very good. There's been a lot of discussion of Bouley in the last week or so, so do a search for the latest opinion.

      2. We had a family b'day party at Wallsee and it was delicious, handsome room, good service.

        1. both wallse and bouley are great options.just keep in mind that the decors are very different from each other (and danube)>
wallse is more austere while bouley is more "pretty" with lots of upholstery and some frills. I love both.
