<content>Dinner tonight were some hot pork tamales we picked up from Leal Bakery (Panaderia) on East Alisal St. They're steamed throughout the day so there are always some that are freshly cooked and hot. I liked these better than last time. They're wrapped in a more narrow and longer shape, making them easy to eat out of hand, which is my friend Rebecca Chapa's platonic ideal. The pork filling is shredded and mixed with a mildly spicy sauce. Smooth lardy masa stays together well.

Now they have chicken as well as pork. These are $1.25 each or 6/$6.00, including tax.
