50th Birthday Party for 12-20 near West Chester

Spouse is hitting the BIG 5-0 and need a restaurant suggestion within a half hour of West Chester. Considering Simon Pearce, but looking for some ideas. Would prefer a private room, but this is not required. Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and BYOB is out. Need something classy to acknowledge this special occasion.

we ended up at Simon Pearce and had a great dinner, we were seated in a beautiful room overlooking the Brandywine River, the service was excellent. It was a Saturday night and we were not rushed at all. I looked into the Inn Keepers Kitchen at Dilworthtown Inn and they require a 20 person minimum, our party was 11.

Sounds like a great party! Simon Pearce is a really nice restaurant. I'm glad you were able to get a room with a river view.

I had my rehearsal dinner for my wedding at the Innkeeper's Kitchen at the Dilworthtown Inn and it was great. All the guests raved, and I was very pleased.

We've been to the Dilworthtown Inn, but its been a few years, before it was damaged by fire. I like the idea of the Inn Keepers Kitchen and the location is central to all of the guests.
        Thanks for the suggestions!

it's been many, many years (at least 15) since the Dilworthown Inn was damaged by fire, and it remains one of the very best restaurants in Chester County, if not the Philly area for a special occasion. Their wine list is world-class and the food nicely prepared and presented. An excellent recommendation for your event. But, so is the Innkeepers Kitchen, and it'll be more relaxed and (probably) even more fun for your group. There's more flexibility in the menu, and it's wonderfully personalized. The facility (across from the Inn) is beautiful, although not as historical as the Inn, and, were it MY party, the Innkeeper's Kitchen would be my choice. I've been to two events there -- one corporate, one private, and they were BOTH outstanding.

A good friend raves about the Inn Keeper's Kitchen at Dilworthtown Inn. Here is a link: http://www.dilworthtown.com/ikk_enter...

I haven't been there personally, but it comes to me highly recommended.

I've never been lucky enough to do one of these Innkeeper kitchen things -- but the food at Dilworthtown is classic American cuisine -- perfectly prepared and executed.

Try either the Dilworthtown Inn or the Marshallton Inn. Dilworthtown is more expensive and has better food -- both are very classy and can handle large groups
