Anniversary Dinner in the Palm Springs Area?

Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant in the Palm Springs/Indian Wells Area?
We are celebrating our anniversary. We are pretty open to any type of food as long as its fabulous. And a good wine list would be great too. Thanks for any suggestions.

We celebrate a lot of anniversaries at Le Valluris - the most romantic setting for a restaurant in town. If the weather is nice, the patio with it's olive trees intertwined with twinkly lights is beautiful. Good, but not inexpensive wine list. I've always had good to delicious food - esp. the whitefish in dijon champagne sauce. Haven't tried Zin yet, so I can't compare, but Le Valluris is a perfect anniversary for any special occasion celebrating spot. I'm guessing from the reviews that Zin is a more upscale new-style dining & LV a more upscale old-style restaurant.

I agree with srk, great wine list at Zin discounted 50% during the week. Also, more upscale, Johannes is very good.
      Happy Anniversary.

It may be the most frequently mentioned Palm Springs restaurant on this board, and for good reason. I've never read any reports of disappointed Chowhounds after a visit to Zin.
