  1. Check out Broadway in Astoria, between about 28th street to 44th street there are probably 5 or 6 taco joints. There is also a taco truck that goes up and down 30th ave in the evenings.

    1. Dear Rosep,

I loves me the tacos too. You might want to take the 7 train and get off every couple of stops to sample the local flavors. The 46th street stop has two trucks in between Queens BLVD and Greenpoint Ave and Greenpoint Ave and 47 Ave. The first truck has excellent beef tacos while the second specializes in pernil. Then, if you aren't gorged, get back on the train and get off just one stop later!!! I love this truck. Someones they have queso fresco that they sprinkle on your taco. Try the chorizo! Actually, now that I think about it, you can try the chorizo at any of the trucks as I'm relatively its the same choriza at each one. But, that doesn't mean going to one is the same as going to all. Then, I would go to El Rey del Taco and sit down to relax. You can enjoy a cold cerveza and watch a futbol match! They make delicious burritos depending on whether they gone shopping in the last couple of days. If you get one without lettuce or tomatoes or meat, just come back another day and they might have it! You should at this point problably walk to a bit to Tacos Mexico on 38th near Broadway in Astoria. This is another tasty place that stands taller in 1the cornfield of tacquerias. A different sort of preparation from the stripped down taco truck versions. There are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many tasty places in Queens, but as a general statement about Manhattan tacos, I'd shy away from San Loco. Why pay more when Taco Bell tastes better? Do you know what I mean?

      1. don't forget sunset park, especially along 5th Ave.

        1. Here's an old post that surveys a bunch of Mexican places on Roosevelt. Many of the restaurants remain, though several have changed hands, and some have closed for good. What wasn't mentioned are the several taco trucks parked near the train stations, especially further out in Jackson Heights/Corona.

          1. taco bite is a taco window (close enough to a stand) in williamsburg / greenpoint. on bedford ave across from the north end of mccarren park. traditional mexican taco options. $2 each.
