Consistently a very good and very comfortable restaurant. As an appetizer I had carciofi alla guidia, the dish that made Piperno in Rome famous. Wonderful. Followed by ravioli with beets and ricotta in butter/sage sauce. My wife had ravioli with squash in a butter/sage sauce. Both dishes excellent and both traditional Italian, but rarely seen on American menus. Prices are reasonable. Go!!!!!!!!!! I've enjoyed both the calamari and the beet salad to start, and have had a number of the pastas. The lemon tart is terrific - tart, but not too tart, sweet, but not too sweet. Great service. Sat Nov 07 08:10:51 -0800 2009 4390386 10985 MMRuth 1 4388503 i used to eat there often on date night dinners - have not been in a while. i didn't stop because of a problem or anything, it just fell out of the rotation (and the the soap opera of my life stopped date night, but that's another story) anyway - the food was always very good, perhaps nothing unique, but always solid. they did a lovely artichoke heart and fava appetizer, a good pappardele with rabbit ragout, good pastas and meats in general. again it has been a while, but i wouldn't hesitate to go there.....
